What this site collects

• No visitor accounts, no log-in, no password.
• No analytics, no measurement tags, no heatmaps, no session recording.
• No advertising or retargeting pixels.
• No profiling, no scoring, no automated decisions.
• Nothing sold, rented or passed to a data broker.

The house holds two kinds of personal data about a visitor: what is typed into the brief form on the contact page — a name, an e-mail address, optionally a company and a budget, and the message itself — and whatever that visitor chooses to send by e-mail, along with the technical headers any mail carries.

A brief is stored in the house's own database and forwarded by e-mail to the people who read it. It is used to answer, and to run the conversation that follows. It is not added to a mailing list, not sold, and not passed to anyone outside the house beyond the providers that carry the message.

To keep the form from being flooded, the IP address a brief is sent from is counted for a few minutes and then discarded. It is not attached to the brief.

Correspondence is kept while the conversation is live and for three years after the last exchange, which is the period French practice sets for commercial contact. Where a contract follows, the documents supporting it are kept for as long as accounting law requires. Anything else is deleted.

No cookie is set on a visitor beyond what is strictly necessary to serve the page, which on a site built this way is none at all. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The typefaces are self-hosted at build time, so opening a page sends no request to a font service. The provider that serves the site keeps the usual access logs, including IP addresses, for security and for the operation of the service; that provider is named on the legal notice once it is fixed.

The controller is Quenoir, Paris. A visitor in the European Union may ask for access to the data held about them, ask for it to be corrected or erased, ask that its use be restricted, object to that use, and ask for it in a portable form.

Write to contact@quenoir.com and the request is answered within one month. There is also a right to complain to the CNIL, the French supervisory authority.
